Hello, lovely YOU! We’ve had quite the incredible dazzling displays in the Heavens above us! Some of us were lucky enough to catch the recent total solar eclipse, while others stood in awe at the spectacular pink and green Northern Lights, brought to us by solar flares. It seems that these other worldly events have left people with a sense of awe and childlike wonder they haven’t felt in a very, very long time. The truth is, we can feel this awe and wonder each and every day when we recognize the sacred right in front of us. We naturally did this as children. We were still so connected to source, having just come from it, that we easily thrilled at the sight of a ladybug, dandelion fluff catching a breeze, or our own reflection in a parking lot puddle. But then we “grew up” and forgot to see the sacred in every day. We focused on “more important things” like being popular, having sex, and making as much money as possible. Don’t get me wrong, having friends, intimacy and financial security make life better. But those things don’t necessarily fill us with a wonder and desire to connect to source. Only sacred moments do that. You can feel awe and wonder every single day without solar flares and eclipses. You simply need to shift your perspective. Finding the sacred in Each Day What does it mean for something to be sacred? It means having a quality that is beyond the physical or material world. Sacred quiets the mind; it is never subject to mental analysis, judgment or personal interpretation. The sacred delights and whispers to us, “I AM here.” The sacred is the NOW, it is each breath and each moment. “That’s all very well and good, Prue, but I am quite out of the habit of seeing the sacred in my own life. How do I begin?” Finding the sacred is a spiritual practice, and like any other spiritual practice (praying, meditating, going to mass), it requires devotion and commitment. Finding the sacred in each day is as simple as becoming a child again. Having eyes to see and ears to hear. Though simple, it can be difficult to get back to this head and heart space. Here are some ideas to help you get started seeing the sacred in each day: Meditation People make meditation so much harder than it needs to be. There are many different ways to approach meditation, but when you’re beginning, you can simply spend a few moments each day with the intent of sitting quietly and observing. That’s it. Spend 5 minutes each day just sitting quietly and observing life. You can be outside and observe nature. If weather does not permit, you can be inside and observe the sounds inside your house. Observe your thoughts. Do not judge anything, do not label anything. Simply watch, listen and wonder. The more you do this, the more you begin to see and hear reality around you. Be Grateful When I was growing up, we said grace before every meal. This was very common in most Christian households for generations. Even when people had very little food back in the day, they still thanked God for what they had. Being grateful for big things and small helps your mentality shift. The more grateful you feel, the more you easily recognize all of the things in your life to be grateful for! It’s quite startling and mind blowing when you first begin a gratitude practice. Set Boundaries It is far harder to find the sacred in each day when you are running around ragged, trying to do far too much. It is equally hard to recognize the sacred when you are around negative people who wish to bring you down to their level. Make space for the sacred in your life by setting healthy boundaries and removing toxic individuals. Spend More Time with Animals and Children If you’re blessed enough to have children and grandchildren, spend more time with them. Watch how they can be amazed and awed by things we find inconsequential. Yes, the emerald glimmer of a frog darting through a pond, the feel of mud between your toes, and riding a bike in the rain are all sacred. Watch how a dog is happy sniffing a breeze or a cat is divinely content finding a new patch of sun on the carpet to lay in. Sacred moments. ~~~ I want all of us to live each day with childlike awe and wonder. We don’t need eclipses or an aurora borealis to feel a lift in our spirit, as if there is something greater out there. We can feel that each and every day when we live consciously and gratefully. About me - Prudence 'Prue" Sinclair Some people find their calling in a classroom or a boardroom. Prue found hers in the quiet, sacred space between heartbreak and healing — because she has lived there herself. For over a decade, Prue has been writing and walking alongside people through some of life's most tender and turbulent moments. Through Prue's Place, she has created more than a coaching practice — she has created a sanctuary. A place where grief is honoured, trauma is witnessed without judgment, and the human spirit is gently guided back to itself. Prue knows what it feels like to stand at the edge of your own darkness and wonder if the light will ever return. Her own journey through struggle became the foundation of everything she offers — not just knowledge, but lived understanding. First, I owe you all a big apology. My email provider changed their process, and I accidentally sent out Week 2 of our 8-week series last week. Don't you just hate it when you finally learn something, get it working well, and then they go and change it on you? Now I have to relearn the whole program! So if you got a strange email from me last week, that's why. I'm so sorry for the mix-up, and thank you for your patience while I find my feet again. The good news is that we're starting properly...

Hello, lovely you. The first warm days of spring have arrived and, as usual, I’ve been standing in the yard, assessing my garden with a calculating eye. There are the plants that made it through, plants that didn’t, and the ones that look alive… until I take a closer look and realize they’re not coming back. I used to rush this part and just cut everything down, clear it out, and make it look clean again. A fresh start to a new season. But the last few years I have slowed way down and really...
